The league format: Swiss Hybrid
We chose this format because it’s fair, inclusive and clear. No guesswork on seeding — you earn your division by how you play. No one gets knocked out; every team has a match every week. By the end of the season, everyone knows exactly where they stand and what they’re playing for.

Phase 1: Everyone together (Weeks 1 - 5)
We use Swiss pairing so your placement isn’t decided by a single pre-season guess. Everyone starts in one pool. You play teams on a similar record; we avoid rematches. After five weeks, the standings are what they are — and that’s what decides your division. No favouritism, no mystery. You earn it.
One pool · Swiss pairing
Week 1: Random draw — everyone 0-0.
Weeks 2 - 5: We pair you with teams on the same W-L record when we can, and we avoid rematches. Standings at the end of Phase 1 decide who goes into Division A, B, C and so on.
After Phase 1: one week break
Standings lock. We assign divisions (top 8 → Division A, next 8 → B, and so on). Then Phase 2 starts — and you’re playing for something concrete in your division.
After Phase 1
Phase 2: Division play (Weeks 6 - 12)
Now you’re in a division with seven other teams. You play each of them once — round-robin. Every match matters: you’re fighting for the top 4 to make playoffs, or for the title, or to stay clear of the bottom. We run it this way so there’s no dead time. Division A is the championship tier; B, C and beyond each have their own race and their own playoff. Everyone has something to play for.

Playoff Weekend
One day to crown the champions. Top 4 per division go into a single-elimination bracket. Semis and the third-place match are one game; the Grand Final is Best-of-3 (first to 2 wins) so the title is earned. Division A is the main event — we stream it. Other divisions run the same format. It’s the climax of the season, and it’s built into the format from the start.
